Trademark and naming notice

OBS and OBS Studio are names used by the OBS Project. Game titles, platform names, hardware models and plugin names referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and compatibility reference only.

1. OBS and OBS Studio

OBS Studio is free and open source software published by the OBS Project. The names “OBS” and “OBS Studio” are used on this site only to identify the software these guides are about — a nominative, descriptive use.

OBS-Studio.net is an independent education and reference site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the OBS Project, and it does not distribute or host OBS Studio. OBS Studio is free and open source software; always download it from the official project site at https://obsproject.com/.

To be unambiguous about it:

  • This site is not the OBS Project and does not speak for it.
  • This site does not host, mirror, repackage or distribute OBS Studio. Downloads come from the official project.
  • The OBS Project has not reviewed, approved or endorsed anything published here.
  • Nothing here should be read as an official OBS Project document, and no page claims ownership of the software or its name.

2. The domain name

The domain obs-studio.net describes the subject this site covers. It is not presented as an official project address, and every page carries an independence notice so no reader is left guessing.

3. Plugins, hardware, games and platforms

Plugin names, game titles, hardware model numbers, GPU and encoder names, and streaming platform names belong to their respective owners. They appear on this site for identification, compatibility reference and troubleshooting context only. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or any commercial relationship in either direction.

4. Logos and marks

Third-party logos are not used as decoration or as an implied endorsement. Where a mark appears, it is because identifying the product visually genuinely helps the reader — for example, distinguishing two similarly named capture devices.

5. Our own branding

The obs-studio.net name, wordmark and site design are ours. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we produced, reviewed or endorsed your material.

6. If you own a mark used here

If you are a rights holder and believe a name or mark is used incorrectly, tell us through the contact form with the page address and the specific usage. Genuine attribution or usage problems are corrected quickly. Requests to remove accurate, unfavourable technical statements are not trademark matters, and those pages stay up.
